FC Barcelona Set to Play Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months after they moved out so building work could begin.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
