Nearly 90 Air Travels Connected to Jeffrey Epstein Allegedly Landed at or Took Off from British Airfields
An investigation has found that approximately 90 flights connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have touched down at and left UK airfields, with some allegedly carrying women from the UK who claim they were victimized by the found guilty child sex offender.
Flight Logs Uncover Trail of Movement
The travel manifests were part of a trove of legal papers and papers made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been made public over the past year. The investigation uncovered 87 flights linked to Epstein – featuring many that were hitherto undisclosed – coming into or leaving from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Flights
Unnamed women were recorded among the individuals flying to and from the UK. Significantly, 15 of these UK flights occurred following Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for procuring prostitution from a minor.
“It was ‘appalling’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his dealings in the country,” remarked American attorneys acting for hundreds of Epstein survivors.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
Testimony from one of the UK-based survivors aided the conviction of Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. However, that survivor has never been contacted by UK authorities, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the Metropolitan police stated they had “not been provided with any additional information that would support restarting the probe.” They commented, “If fresh and pertinent information be brought to our attention, encompassing any arising from the release of documents in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Continuing Document Release and Judicial Decisions
Proposed legislation to make public every document held by the US government in regarding Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. A vast number of papers are projected to be released.
In a related development, a federal judge ordered last week that the DOJ could publicly release case files from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year jail term over the charges.
